Getting asbestos removed by the wet method is one of the safest systems there is. The ACMs are poured with liquid or special solution to prevent the fibers from flying into the air. Once the asbestos is wet the demolition of the building or removal of asbestos can be safely facilitated. However, there were companies that were doing the application erroneously. Steps have been taken to correct the situation. Domestic asbestos removal is a big business considering the number of homes contaminated with asbestos. There are millions of houses and buildings that were constructed before the late 1980s that contain asbestos. Construction companies were dumping as much asbestos as they could into each building because of its good qualities as a construction material: cheap, cool, easy to install, fire resistant, and light.
